R&C Animal Airway Resistance and Lung Compliance Testing System requires anesthesia and endotracheal intubation. It has a convenient and easy-to-operate transpulmonary pressure test. It can also test data when the animal breathes naturally without the assistance of a ventilator. Therefore, it can measure the animal's natural and true tidal volume and respiratory rate and other indicators. The system includes a small animal ventilator and an online nebulizer drug delivery device. The main parameters are: respiratory rate, tidal volume, airway resistance, dynamic lung compliance, etc., and can also be expanded to detect ECG, classified blood pressure and other indicators. It is mainly used for asthma research, and can also be used for basic research on other airway inflammation, pulmonary hypertension and other related cardiothoracic diseases. It can be limitedly used in research on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, acute lung injury, etc. (mainly due to limited detection parameters). The airway resistance and lung compliance of this system are the gold standard for asthma animal experiments.
Features:
Requires anesthesia and endotracheal intubation (invasive testing);
Detect direct physiological indicators such as Rl airway resistance, Cdyn dynamic lung compliance, tidal volume, etc.;
The signal amplifier is adaptively calibrated, eliminating the need for tedious operations such as adjusting the gain and amplification factor;
It is equipped with atomization drug delivery function as standard, and can also deliver drug via tail vein via the Tail-out interface;
Standard configuration for testing transpulmonary pressure, supporting testing of both ventilator-assisted breathing and natural breathing;
Modular design, easy to expand.
Multiple animals can be tested simultaneously;
The host, signal amplifier, sensor, atomization module and WBP system for non-invasive detection can be shared, and the expansion of instruments can save a lot of costs;
Animal trays made of non-thermal conductive materials can prevent animal body temperature loss and prevent the temperature change in the air in the plethysmograph from affecting data accuracy;
Optional: Animal temperature, arterial blood pressure, ECG monitoring;
Comply with GLP requirements.
No anesthesia and tracheotomy are required, and the experiment is convenient and quick;
Data is presented immediately without waiting; various graphics and statistical analysis data can be exported;
The standard models include mice, rats, guinea pigs, and rabbits. Special Plethysmographs for common experimental large animals such as cats, dogs, pigs, monkeys, and birds can be customized;
It can be connected to special sensors to detect various blood pressures (systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, etc.), and can be expanded as needed in cardiopulmonary related research directions;
Can be connected to special electrodes to detect electrocardiogram (ECG);
It can be connected to oxygen, CO, CO2, nitrogen and other gases and related analyzers to meet various experimental schemes.
Product Application:
Mainly used in various physiological and pharmacological studies, drug efficacy evaluation, toxicology, and medical preclinical research related to respiratory diseases such as asthma and airway inflammation.
