01 Conference Introduction
The 14th Cross-Strait Symposium on Cardiovascular Science and the 5th Asia-Pacific Conference on Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine will be held from August 23 - 26, 2024 at Chi Mei Medical Center, Taiwan. The conference will invite cardiovascular and hyperbaric experts from academic and research institutions, hospitals, and societies around the world to participate in a four-day forum on prospective research in cardiovascular medicine and multiple applications of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, to reveal the latest results of basic cardiovascular science and hyperbaric clinical research, and to promote the exchange of knowledge and sharing of scholars, publication of scientific and technological innovations, and cross-sectoral cooperation.
The “Cross-Strait Symposium on Cardiovascular Science” is co-sponsored by four major Chinese societies (Chinese Society of Pharmacology, Chinese Society of Physiology, Chinese Society of Pathophysiology, and Chinese Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) and two units (Chi Mei Medical Center and the University of Hong Kong) of renowned scholars, taking turns to host the first meeting was first held in Beijing in 1995, and then held every two years in Beijing, Dalian, Lushan, Taipei, Hong Kong, and other cities, Since then, the conference has been held every two years in Beijing, Dalian, Lushan, Taipei, Hong Kong and other cities, and has experienced thirteen years so far.
The “Asia-Pacific Conference on Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine” was jointly organized by hyperbaric experts from China, Japan, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and other countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific region, and the first Asia-Pacific Conference on Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine was held in Qingdao, China, in 2013.
