On June 26, 2026, the First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine completed the installation and commissioning of the ULTIMUS 9LAB small-animal super-resolution ultrasound system, officially putting it into service for the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) scientific research platform.

Equipped with URM super-resolution imaging technology, the system enables micron-level high-definition capture of microvascular blood flow in small animals. It is ideally suited for pharmacological mechanism studies in TCM cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, neurology, and oncology. With non-invasive real-time dynamic imaging, it significantly enhances the observation precision of fundamental TCM experimental research.

The introduction of this advanced facility fills the gap in our hospital's small-animal imaging capabilities, bolsters the visual investigation of integrated Chinese and Western medicine pharmacology and TCM therapeutic efficacy, and lays a solid high-end hardware foundation for regional innovative TCM scientific research.
