Recently, the high-resolution small animal ultrasound imaging system at the Beijing Institute of Life Sciences (BLSA) successfully completed installation and commissioning. With all performance indicators meeting required standards, the equipment is now officially in use for scientific research.

The system offers significant advantages, including non-invasive real-time imaging, high-definition soft tissue differentiation, and dynamic monitoring of organ function. It is capable of supporting in vivo imaging research on experimental animals (such as rats and mice) across various fields, including cardiovascular studies, oncology, developmental biology, and new drug development.

This installation enhances the configuration of the institute's animal experimentation platform and addresses critical gaps in preclinical imaging research. It will provide robust support for applied basic research in frontier areas such as life sciences, medicine, and agricultural science, further propelling the institute’s mission to establish itself as a leading domestic and internationally influential hub for life science innovation.
