2025-02-28

On February 26, 2025, the small animal ultrasound imaging system at the Functional Detection Platform for Traditional Chinese Medicine Prevention and Treatment of Cardio-Cerebrovascular Diseases at Gansu University of Chinese Medicine was successfully installed, debugged, and underwent specialized training. With its high resolution, the system can accurately monitor cardio-cerebrovascular parameters in laboratory animals, filling a technological gap at the university. The training adopted a "theory + hands-on practice + one-on-one guidance" model, covering equipment operation, data analysis, and other key content, providing strong support for the university's research on TCM prevention and treatment of cardio-cerebrovascular diseases as well as talent development.

Gansu University of Chinese Medicine is a key institution for Chinese medicine education in Northwest China, with a strong academic foundation in the field of traditional Chinese medicine. The newly introduced small animal ultrasound imaging system will be primarily used for in vivo research in areas such as cardiovascular diseases, neuroscience, and tumor biology at the university, providing researchers with high-resolution, real-time dynamic imaging data support and facilitating the production of high-level academic achievements.
